By LadyLively on August 8, 2016
Hamstring injuries are common during running and other forms of exercise. But do you know the most common warning signs?
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons mentions these potential symptoms:
- A severe, sudden pain in the back of the thigh while exercising. It may be so sharp that you either fall or can’t put weight on the injured leg.
- Swelling of the hamstring within a few hours.
- Bruising or change in skin color on the back of the thigh below the knee.
- Feeling weak in the hamstring for several weeks.
