Good Earth Egg Company Eggs Linked to Salmonella Outbreak
Eggs from the Good Earth Egg Company in Missouri have been recalled after being linked to a salmonella outbreak in three states.
Eight people in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois have been diagnosed with salmonella infection and two have been hospitalized, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CBS News reported.
The recall covers all of the company’s eggs distributed throughout the Midwest to retail and wholesale companies, institutions, restaurants and walk-in stores, the Food and Drug Administration said.
The CDC said eggs distributed by the Good Earth Egg Company are sold under a variety of names and advised consumers to ask stores and restaurants where their eggs are from and if they’re included in the recall, CBS News reported.
