Health Tip: Help a Broken Toe Heal
By LadyLively on May 2, 2017
A broken toe needs evaluation by a doctor to determine the best treatment. Prompt and proper first aid is important to speed healing.
The American Podiatric Medical Association suggests:
- While you wait to see the doctor, apply ice if you suspect your toe is broken.
- Keep your foot elevated.
- Avoid putting weight on the foot.
- Use a soft compression bandage to wrap your foot. But don’t make the bandage too tight.
