A health care team, including an audiologist, otolaryngologist and speech pathologist, can help your child.
To manage your child’s hearing loss, the school mentions these potential options:
- Electronic or battery-operated hearing aids.
- Cochlear implants.
- Training in sign language or lip reading.
Treatment for your child will depend on the child’s symptoms, age, general health and the severity of the condition. The school encourages you to discuss all options with your child’s doctor.
