Health Tip: Spot the Symptoms of Scalp Psoriasis

Scalp psoriasis may be confused with dandruff, but the two conditions can cause a host of differing symptoms.
The American Academy of Dermatology says unique signs of scalp psoriasis may include:
- Patches of skin on the scalp that may be thick and inflamed.
- Bleeding from scratching the scalp.
- Extreme tenderness or a burning sensation on the scalp.
- Temporary hair loss.
