Health Tip: Watch for Playground Burns
By LadyLively on June 16, 2015

Playground burns from hot equipment are common, and they can occur even on days that aren’t very hot.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission suggests:
- Watch for any uncoated metal equipment, or equipment with worn coating.
- Beware of swings, slides and other equipment where a child sits.
- Use caution around plastic and rubber materials that are dark. Darker colors attract more heat.
- Be careful on concrete and asphalt surfaces near the playground.
