Health Tip: Selecting a Summer Camp
By LadyLively on July 21, 2015

There may be many options for summer camps to keep kids busy, active and happy while school is out. But parents may feel lost about how to choose the right camp.
The American Camp Association says parents should consider:
- The location and environment of the camp, how rustic the camp is and the size of the camp.
- Whether the camp offers a particular specialty or a variety of activities.
- Is it a day camp or a sleep-away camp? If the former, parents should consider the child’s readiness to be away from home.
- Your ability to contact and visit the child.
- The special needs of your child (such as dietary restrictions), and your budget.
