Health Tip: When a Rash Signals Trouble

A skin rash often isn’t a major worry, but there are warning signs that it could mean trouble.
The American Academy of Dermatology says medical intervention in warranted when a rash:
- Spreads across the entire body. This could indicate a serious allergic reaction.
- Is accompanied by fever. This warrants an immediate trip to the emergency room, as it could indicate a serious infection.
- Spreads suddenly and very quickly.
- Forms blisters.
- Becomes painful.
