Health Tip: Coping With Sinusitis
By LadyLively on October 12, 2015
When you develop a sinus infection, it can take time for symptoms to subside. In the meantime, there are things you can do to get some relief.
The Mayo Clinic suggests:
- Drink plenty of liquids, particularly water and juice. Avoid alcohol and anything caffeinated.
- Keep sinus cavities moist and warm. Take a hot shower, or apply a warm towel to your face while you sit over a warm bowl of water.
- Use a saline solution to flush your sinuses.
- Elevate your head while you sleep, allowing your sinuses to drain.
