Health Tip: Do You Have Bronchitis?
By LadyLively on February 27, 2014
Bronchitis is a respiratory disease characterized by inflamed mucus membranes in the lungs.
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute says common warning signs of bronchitis include:
- Persistent cough lasting 10 days to 20 days.
- Coughing up mucus, which may be clear, yellow or green. The latter two indicate a bacterial infection.
- Wheezing when breathing, tightness in the chest or chest pain.
- Low-grade fever.
- Shortness of breath, especially during exercise.
If you have any of these symptoms, you should visit your doctor without delay.
