Health Tip: Alzheimer’s Affects Sleep
By LadyLively on August 1, 2017
Alzheimer’s disease affects many aspects of living, including sleep.
The National Sleep Foundation says the disease can cause:
- Waking in the middle of the night.
- Difficulty sleeping in general. Insomnia may be an early sign of Alzheimer’s, even before memory loss.
- Evening confusion from lack of sleep.
Caregivers should maintain a consistent sleep schedule. If that doesn’t improve sleep, consult a doctor.
