Health Tip: Use Cold Therapy to Ease Arthritis
By LadyLively on August 10, 2016
If you’re struggling with arthritis, cold therapy can help ease swelling and pain.
Here’s how to apply cold therapy, courtesy of the Arthritis Foundation:
- Use an ice pack, a plastic bag filled with ice or even a bag of frozen veggies. Wrap the pack in a towel and apply it to the area for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.
- Buy a commercial ice pack, which can wrap around a joint and is less likely to leak.
- Submerge a painful joint in a bath of ice and cold water.
