Health Tip: Easing the Stress of Diabetes

Diabetes is bad enough without the stress that may go along with the disease.
The American Diabetes Association offers these stress-busting ideas:
- Participate in a physical activity such as a sport, an exercise program or dancing.
- Develop a personal coping style.
- Learn to relax using breathing exercises, progressive relaxation therapy or simply substituting positive thoughts for negative ones.
- Join a support group for people with diabetes.
