Health Tip: Select Running Shoes Based on Your Arches
By LadyLively on March 28, 2016
The right fit and comfort of running shoes are essential for pain-free workouts, so consider the shape of your arches when selecting shoes.
The American Council on Exercise advises:
- If you have flat arches that tend to roll in, look for shoes that offer motion control and extra stability.
- If you have high arches, choose shoes with extra cushioning and soft midsoles.
- If your arches are about where they should be, select shoes with medium stability and cushioning.
