Health Tip: Change Diet to Combat Constipation
By LadyLively on April 5, 2019
Constipation typically is diagnosed when there are fewer than three bowel movements per week.
Making changes to what you eat and drink can relieve constipation. And including fiber-rich food in your diet is a great starting point, says the National Institutes of Health.
The NIH mentions these good sources of fiber:
- Whole grains.
- Legumes.
- Fruits and vegetables.
- Nuts.
Drinking lots of water also may help soften stools, making them easier to pass.
