Health Tip: Easing Heartburn During Pregnancy
By LadyLively on December 29, 2014
While heartburn is a common discomfort of pregnancy, there are things you can do to help keep the problem at bay.
The American Pregnancy Association suggests:
- Instead of three big meals a day, eat smaller meals more frequently.
- After eating, sit upright for about an hour.
- Steer clear of foods that are spicy, greasy or high in fat.
- To help ease heartburn, drink a glass of milk or eat a yogurt. Or mix a tablespoon of honey with a glass of warm milk.
