By LadyLively on December 26, 2013

Muscle soreness can develop as you challenge yourself physically, but certain warning signs warrant a call to the doctor.
The American Academy of Family Physicians says you should contact a physician if you have:
- Soreness in the muscles that persists for longer than one week.
- Extreme pain that gets worse when you exercise.
- Sore muscles or joints that feel warm to the touch, or are swollen or red.
- A feeling of dizziness.
- Trouble breathing.
