Health Tip: Buying Children’s Shoes
By LadyLively on September 10, 2013

When fitting a child’s feet for a pair of shoes, following some simple guidelines can help ensure the best fit.
The American Podiatric Medical Association offers this advice:
- Test the heel to make sure it’s stiff. Squeeze on both sides and make sure the shoe doesn’t collapse.
- Make sure the sole is flexible and not too stiff, and bends appropriately with your child’s foot.
- Make sure the shoe has a firm, rigid middle and doesn’t twist in the middle if you turn it.
