Health Tip: Stroke Warning Signs
By LadyLively on December 5, 2019
Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death and a leading cause of disability in the United States, says the American Stroke Association.
The association mentions these warning signs:
- Face drooping. Is the person’s smile uneven or lopsided?
- Arm weakness. Is one arm weak or numb?
- Speech. Is speech slurred or hard to understand?
Additional symptoms of stroke include sudden numbness, confusion, trouble seeing, difficulty walking and severe headache. Call 9-1-1 immediately if someone shows any of these symptoms.
