Health Tip: Understanding Your Heart Rate
By LadyLively on January 31, 2020
Your pulse, or heart rate, is the number of times your heart beats per minute, says the American Heart Association. Your heart rate can be determined at your wrist, inside your elbow, on the side of your neck or at the top of your foot.
For an accurate reading, place your finger on your pulse and count the number of beats in one minute. When you are resting, your heart rate should usually between 60 and 100 beats per minute. If your pulse is very high or low, tell your doctor.
