Health Tip: Plan to Eat Healthier
By LadyLively on August 3, 2015

A healthier diet can help you look and feel better. And when armed with the right information and some healthy snacks, eating well isn’t that difficult.
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases suggests:
- Limit your intake of pizza, sodas and sweet treats.
- Drink plenty of water and low-fat or fat-free milk. Lean dairy products will help build stronger bones.
- Fill half of your plate with fruits and veggies at each meal. Stick to lean meat and poultry, beans, eggs, tofu and other healthier sources of protein.
- Opt for whole grains, such as brown rice and whole-wheat bread or pasta.
- Make wise choices at fast food restaurants. Avoid a super sized meal, or split a meal with a friend. Make healthier choices at the school cafeteria, too.
