Health Tip: Why Is My Skin Dry?
By LadyLively on June 20, 2017
Few things are more uncomfortable than dry, itchy skin. So, what’s behind it?
The American Academy of Dermatology says possible causes include:
- Aging. As you get older, your skin dries and thins. So make sure you use a daily moisturizer after age 40 or earlier.
- Living in a dry climate.
- Having a skin disease, such as eczema or psoriasis.
- Having a job in which your skin is often in water.
- Swimming in a pool that contains a lot of chlorine.
