Health Tip: Preventing Kidney Stones
By LadyLively on August 30, 2019

About one in 10 people will have a kidney stone during his or her lifetime, says the National Kidney Foundation.
Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and salts that can be painful and difficult to pass.
To help prevent kidney stones, the foundation suggests:
- Drink enough water, especially when exercising.
- Pair oxalate-rich foods with calcium-rich foods.
- Cut back on dietary salt.
If you have had a kidney stone, the NKF says is important to adjust your diet and medication in order to prevent another stone from forming.
