While you’re pregnant, it’s important to eat nutritious foods and to avoid extra calories.
The United States Department of Agriculture recommends avoiding:
- Ice cream, candy and other sugary desserts.
- Sweetened cereals.
- Fried foods, biscuits and hot dogs.
- Fruit drinks, teas and other beverages sweetened with sugar.
- Sugary sodas.
