Health Tip: Get Weight-Bearing Exercise

There’s a recipe for good bone health, and it includes getting plenty of calcium, vitamin D and weight-bearing exercise.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says good weight-bearing activities include:
- Climbing stairs, walking, running or jogging.
- Hiking or jumping rope.
- Playing sports, such as tennis, racquetball, field hockey, basketball or soccer.
- Lifting weights.
- Dancing.
