Health Tip: Avoiding Menopausal Weight Gain
By LadyLively on February 12, 2015

Weight gain during and after menopause is common and can have significant health consequences.
The Mayo Clinic says women can help avoid menopausal weight gain by:
- Getting plenty of exercise, incorporating both strength training and aerobic exercise into the daily workout routine.
- Cutting down on calories by eating lean proteins, and more fruit, vegetables and whole grains.
- Getting support from loved ones and friends.
- Finding fun ways to be healthier, such as by taking a daily walk or yoga class, eating fresh fruit more often, or by sharing a restaurant entree with a friend.
