Health Tip: Pack Healthy Beach Snacks
By LadyLively on July 16, 2014
Concession-stand snacks at the beach don’t always offer the healthiest options. But packing your own snacks ensures that you fuel your body with healthy foods.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends these beach-friendly, healthy snacks:
- Dry-roasted or raw nuts, or wasabi peas.
- Pre-cut and washed fresh veggies and fruit.
- Whole-grain crackers or cookies, made with whole-wheat flour or oatmeal.
- Mixed dried fruit, or sugar-free dried ginger.
