Health Tip: Skip Traditional Barbequed Food
By LadyLively on June 24, 2016
Enjoy the summer ritual of barbequing without derailing your healthy eating plan.
Here are suggestions from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics:
- Swap beef for turkey with fresh herbs.
- Baste and grill your favorite veggies, such as zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, onions, carrots and corn.
- For a sweet treat, grill fruit such as pineapple slices, peach halves or fruit kebobs. Serve them with angel food cake or low-fat ice cream.
